  • Non-linguistic code: They are the codes in which oral or written language does not intervene, but which are easily recognizable by the sender and the receiver to start the communicative process. For example, a gesture.

These are the most important elements when developing good communication:

  • Issuer: Responsible for the development and implementation of the message. It can be a person or a group. Its main task is to configure the message in an optimal way so that it is decoded by the receiver.
  • Message: The main purpose is that the message reaches the receiver in a correct and easily understandable way. The message is the set of data that the issuer elaborates to proceed to initiate communication.
  • Channel: It is the means by which the message is sent. For example, the Internet, mobile device, media or social networks.
  • Code: These are a series of codes that the sender and receiver must know and interpret so that they can communicate effectively.
  • Receiver: It is the person who receives the message and who must decipher it so that the communication that has originated from the sender is effective.

A person has decided to tour England and asks a local for the location of a famous English palace. It tells you in English the route you must take to get to the right place.

Finally, this person thanks you and goes to that place. There has been good communication between the two, since both knew the language and have been able to communicate with great reliability, since they knew the same code.
