Sit Means Sit Dog Training OKC

Oh my gosh! This is the most amazing training program I have ever attended with my dog. It is a training for the master andcanine. I always thought I was a pretty good trainerof my dogs (and have always had high expectations for my dogs obedience). However, Sit Means Sit has exceeded all my expectations. My dog and I have learned so much. Lukas and Chase give of their time freely ensuring that the experience is positive and rewarding. It is so comforting to know that I can now take my dog anywhere leash free and know his behavior, obedience, and safety is no longer a worry or a problem. Thanks Sit Means Sit! I will be forever grateful and thankful for all my dog and I continue to learn from you! "Tara Fair"

Off Leash K9 Training, LLC

Mark was our trainer for Auggie, our 1.5 year pitbull rescue. Auggie came to us as a very sweet dog with no door manners, constantly pulling on his leash, never responding to his name, jumping up on everyone, and darting out the door any time it was open.

After two weeks, Auggie is able to do all basic commands, as advertised and advanced off the leash walking. More than that though, Auggie seems more confident in understanding our expectations for him. When he feels overwhelmed, he goes to his crate because it's his refuge now. He responds to the gentlest commands and there is no more raising my voice to get his attention. He's a rather large dog and my 6-year-old daughter has complete command over him because he loves to please.

My favorite aspect of the training is that love is the motivator! It's not feeding him a ton of treats or using a lot of negative reinforcement, it's telling him how we expect him to act in certain situations, Auggie responding to the command, then us getting to shower him with love because of it! Of course he then wants to repeat the behavior!

I would definitely recommend this training for the life long commitment that comes with having dogs. It was a joyful experience and the daily updates were so helpful! Mark obviously loves his job and took great care of our little family member 💖 "Jennifer Pina"

Big Friendly Dog Training

My husband and I can tell a huge difference from one session with Loreanne! She helped give us the tools and knowledge to help keep our 7 month lab calmer. He is a hyperactive dog who would pull on the leash with all his strength and he wouldn't listen to my husband or I. But after one session, we were actually able to loose leash walk him! He's not perfect at it yet but it's a much more enjoyable walking experience than before. And he's starting to listen to us more now! We still have a long ways to go but already we are seeing a much better behaved dog! "Brittany Trowbridge" Dog trainer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Puppy Paws Hotel and Spa

If your dog is barreling out of the car to sprint inside, it’s a good sign! You know what else is? Being remembered by multiple different employees every time you walk in the door. It isn’t “who are we checking in today and for what service?” It is “Hi Jaime and Poppy!” “And Poppy are you ready to play?”

We have had grooming done, play dates had, and over night stays and have not once been disappointed. We love it here! And so does our Pup 👏🏼❤️ "Jaime Spencer"

I was recommended to schedule with Jason as I have two Australian Shepherds (Standard and toy/mini) and DID NOT want them shaved (had that happen with my standard). Camp Bow Wow

My dog and I LOVE Camp Bow Wow! My dog, Rudy, goes at least once a week to run out some energy and see all his friends. The staff is friendly and greats Rudy like he’s their best friend every time we go in. They feed lunch upon request which is convenient for us because Rudy doesn’t eat much in the morning. They also have live cams so I can check in on Rudy anytime. Finally, they have grooming on site. I can’t recommend this place enough! "Brittany Mason" Dog day care center in Edmond, Oklahoma

Petco Dog Training

Absolutely will NEVER return there. I find it amazing they stay in business. No one to unlock the case so I could hand them two or three hundred dollars for an invisible dog was dirty, smelly too...huge, no signage that I found helpful...lots and lots of fish stuff, and a third of it, is about designer food for dogs and cats...frankly it was a JOKE! I bet they are getting stole blind! "Robert Taylor" Dog trainer in Edmond, Oklahoma

Go Forth K9

We sent our anxious German Shepard to Autumn. She did an amazing job with getting him to know the basics. The main one that I love is the down where I can get him down by me when he’s nervous and knows that I will protect him. He’s got such a playful and gentle heart. I’m glad she was able to guide us with him and his anxiety. Thank again!! If you’re looking for a great trainer this is her. She makes sure she does all she can for your dog!! Paw Pads Academy

Ani helped us with our border collie puppy. We wanted to have an at home trainer so we could start before all of her shots were done. She helped us to find ways to work with how smart and energetic the breed is such as food puzzles, indoor agility setups, playing hide and seek, and starting off-leash training early. She was great with working with such a focused and driven dog and helped us to teach her many phrases and tricks as well as basic obedience. "Kiley Molinari" Dog trainer in Edmond, Oklahoma

Understanding how to effectively train your dog is not an intuitive process. Frequently, we fail to understand that dogs simply don't speak English, and they also often don't understand what we want those to do. This article details some easy-to-implement things you can do as a pet owner to possess a better behaved, happier dog.

Never reward negative behavior. Many people who own dogs have difficulty training their pet. Whenever a long training session has ended and we have seen no progress, they could wind up tempted to reward their dog anyway. Even though you love your pet dearly, never reward their bad or undesirable behavior.

Training doesn't only happen during designated exercise sessions. Each time you communicate with your pup, you might be training him. Be sure to stay consistent in your commands and requests and to consistently reinforce those good behaviors. Don't allow him to jump up there when you are watching a show if you are training him to remain away from the couch. Stay consistent constantly with what you would like him to perform and you may see the rewards.

Puppies have a tendency to nip as an easy way of communicating, and this should actually be curbed. It really is normally a signal that they want to play. In the event you observe a puppy together with his litter mates, this is basically the manner in which they interact with each other. Whenever your puppy nips you, say 'no' firmly, and immediately give him a toy to perform with.

Until your puppy is well trained, training ought to be constant. Training is just not done should you be unsure that your dog will follow any command which you give. Every interaction along with your dog ought to be approached from the dominant, training standpoint. You should consistently teach your dog that you are in charge, much like a genuine pack leader does.

Training your puppy should start around six or seven weeks old. The quicker you can start training your brand-new pup, the more effective the outcome will be. Reports have discovered that dogs would be the most receptive to training from 6 to 14 weeks old so use that period wisely.

The best way to prevent your dog from barking excessively, is always to make him more comfortable with anything he barks at so frequently. Dogs bark at everything that scares of threatens them, if you show your pet dog that the object of the fear is nothing to be scared of, he'll stop barking.

Glance at the door before your pet dog, eat your own dinner first and always make sure that you win tug-of-war, by taking away the toy when you're done. All of this asserts that you will be the pack leader plus your dog is subordinate. This will aid curb other obedience problems and aid in other areas of training since your dog knows that he Have to do everything you say. It's how he's hard-wired.

Training your dog may be frustrating. Go on and take a break before trying it again when you have found yourself to be upset simply because you are not making progress. When it can easily see you will be upset it is going to react in the similar manner, the canine is always watching you together with learning, so.

Taking part in a team class may be an extremely efficient way to coach your pet dog. Group classes are usually less costly than individual training sessions. Additionally they offer your pet dog the opportunity socialize along with other pets. Look for a smaller group though, so that you will still have plenty of one-on-one interaction with the trainer.

When determining to train your pet, be sure that you have patience towards your furry friend. All dogs are unique and learn at different paces. To work in training your pooch, be sure you have the patience to view it through. If she or he may try your patience, treat your pet with kindness even.
